Urge Your U.S. Senators to Advance MS Research

The Advancing Research for Neurological Diseases Act, S. 849 will empower the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to track the incidence and prevalence of neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis. The information collected will provide a foundation for evaluating and understanding aspects of these diseases we currently do not have a good grasp of, such as the geography of diagnoses, variances in gender, disease burden and changes in healthcare practices among patients.

Ask your U.S Senators to show their support for people affected by MS by cosponsoring the Advancing Research for Neurological Diseases Act today!

Please Cosponsor S. 849 -- Advancing Research for Neurological Diseases

Dear [Decision Maker],

As an MS activist, I am contacting you today to ask that you cosponsor the Advancing Research for Neurological Diseases Act, S. 849.

The bill would help advance multiple sclerosis (MS) research by establishing a system to collect the size and makeup of neurological disease populations, including MS. Currently, there is no accurate account of how many people in the United States have MS, nor of the demographic characteristics of those living with MS.

The cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown, and a cure, so far, doesn't exist. Please move us closer to a cure by cosponsoring the Advancing Research for Neurological Diseases Act today by contacting Jordan_Bartolomeo@isakson.senate.gov (Sen. Isakson) or Joe_Dunn@murphy.senate.gov (Sen. Murphy).

Sincerely,
