Support MS research and services through Iowa lottery
Right now, the Iowa Senate is considering legislation that will increase funding for multiple sclerosis (MS) research and services. Senate File 26 would establish a lottery support fund to help address the challenges of people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services designed to help people living with MS and thier families move forward.
Senate File 26 would allow the Iowa lottery authority to develop and conduct one additional instant scratch-off and one additional pull-tab lottery game annually for the benefit of persons with MS. Dollars received from the games, less prizes, will create the MS support fund that will be overseen by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
