What is a team? Each year, over 150 teams participate in Walk MS Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, joining together in a powerful community celebration to raise awareness, funds and hope in the movement to create a world free of MS. A Walk MS team consists of four or more walkers who choose a team name, strive for a team fundraising goal and celebrate together at Walk MS.
Why form a team? Forming a team is a great way to introduce your friends, family and community to Walk MS, the rallying point of the MS movement! Teams come together to celebrate with pre-event parties, decorated Team Tents, team t-shirts and other exciting award opportunities while proactively working together towards a common goal--a world free of multiple sclerosis. To learn more about how funds raised through Walk MS support people living with multiple sclerosis in our community, visit our chapter website.
The Role of the Team Captain: Team Captains are volunteer leaders who educate, inspire and mobilize others to raise funds and awareness through Walk MS that advance research for a cure and support those living with MS in our community. Team Captains engage others in the celebration of community and hope at Walk MS events.
