Peer Counseling
The Chapter’s peer counseling program provides emotional support from people who know what it’s like living with MS. Peer counselors are trained to speak about the disease to others with MS, to the families and friends of people with MS, and to the general public. They distribute MS information and provide referrals to resources throughout our chapter territory. This includes referrals to professional counselors. Peer counselors are available on weekdays in our Oakland office and through our toll-free hotline 1-800-FIGHT MS.
