THE CITY OF MUD-ERLY LOVE DOES IT AGAIN!

Philly muck-veterans have seen some mud over the years, but even their minds were blown by the 2018 edition of MuckFest® MS Philadelphia, which featured bottomless and endless mud. Fun math fact: Muckmeticians refer to this unquantifiable excess of mud as Mud-finity, and there's even a symbol for it, but it's too dirty to show you here.

Trying to stop Philly muckers from getting thoroughly filthy is as a futile as putting Crisco on a lightpole.

So, we made it mucky from the start with one of the ooey-gooiest Muckin' Corrals ever that led right into a super-slippery Triple Pits, upon which a new as-yet-unnamed genre of slapstick comedy was invented. Even the end of the run featured the thickest mud and muckiest of finish line photo ops.

Besides the excess of mud, Philly had a muck-bundance of team spirit. We saw bold, brilliant and beautiful team shirts and costumes that really showed off what this event is all about: honoring those who have been impacted by MS and having an absolute blast while doing it. A big shout-out to all the MS warriors in I Muck It With MS bandanas who conquered the course on Saturday and Sunday.

>The fun- and muck-lovin' spirit of the event was also on full display over at the Swing Set, where we witnessed a continuous montage of truly extraordinary mid-air contortions and award-winning water entries. Let's just say if the Olympics gave a medal for largest splash, the top of the podium would be jam-packed with Philly muckers.

A sincere thanks to all the fundraisers who helped raise nearly $400,000 to support the National MS Society. Leading the way were the top fundraising individuals and teams, listed below. From the top fundraisers on down, every donation makes a difference and every donation takes us closer to ending MS.

Thanks to the large-and-in-charge contingent of Philly volunteers for helping to produce a truly celebratory and muck-tacular event.

A big thank you to all the muckers, volunteers and guests who traveled from near and far to be at the event. We had a healthy representation from multiple states and even a few who came from other countries!

And big thanks again to the Glen Mills Schools for being an A+ event site host and partner.

Thank You

Thank you for coming out and making MuckFest MS Philadelphia so memorable. We would like to thank all the runners, volunteers, spectators and staff who participated and supported each other this weekend. It is that spirit of support that inspires us to work hard every day of the year to support people living with multiple sclerosis.

There is still time to support the mission behind the “muck.” We've made incredible progress so far and we want to keep that momentum going after the event. Make a donation online and help us reach our goal.
