Impacting the Cause: Modern DisplayTerry Praag, Executive Director of Expo & Events, at Modern Expo & Events explains why they, as a company, are involved with the National MS Society: “A few years ago the Modern Expo & Events Team wanted to choose a local charitable organization to support. In the past, we donated a lot for various causes, but none seemed to hit ‘close-to-home’ or feel personal enough to us.We have a few associates and/or their spouses who have MS, but at the time, we knew little about MS. We looked at local events that were available from the MS organization and found the Walk MS and Bike MS events. As a group, we agreed that we found the nonprofit we wanted to support because we found it to be a very worthy cause that touches so many people in the Salt Lake Valley and across the country. Our immediate thought to become involved was to offer our event expertise and equipment to the Chapter. We directly contacted Becky Lyttle, VP of Community Development at the Utah-Southern Idaho Chapter, and from that moment forward, we have been a proud supporter of the Society. Each year we have been involved, we have been impressed by the services offered and touched by the personal stories shared. Our group has been inspired by the MS family and we have become better people at Modern Expo & Events through our support of the Chapter.” |
