Bike MS: Colorado 2018 powered locally by Anthem

Our goal—a world free of MS.

We've formed a team for Bike MS—an epic fundraising ride that is changing the lives of people affected by MS. If you can do more than donate,  join our team!

It's going to be a great and fun day! Just remember, some things are fun later, though maybe no so much at the time...I could see how riding a bike super far might be like that.

The catalyst for me to ride this year comes from Keith DeLuca who settled a bet by riding last year on a fixed-gear bike (not only no gears, but the pedals also turn as the wheel does--watch out for those downhills). What did he win? He was right, I was wrong. But he was inspriring. In his words:

"I completed the century ride on my fixie bike. I will never again do that :) It was by far the hardest thing I've done on a bike. The second day, today, was much "easier" on a real bike. I've not done a supported ride in a long time. The MS Society put on a real show. Food, water, bathrooms (especially important for me since i have the bladder the size of a nickel) bike support and massages every 10 miles. If we can organize a "Team Tauchman" (now called Roadies) next year, I would definitely ride again. I saw all types of riders out there; racers, weekend warriors, occasional riders and some that had no business riding a bike. That was the best part. A lot of those riders were really suffering and they still completed it. Loved it. Thanks again"

No business riding a bike? Still completing the ride? I bet we can do that.

About MS

When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
