Bike MS: Harmons Best Dam Bike Ride 2018

Team Brain

Welcome to Team Brain 2018!

Team Brain was founded in 2008 by The Brain Institute at the University of Utah, and has grown into one of the largest, most successful bike teams ever! We are a varied group of riders - racers and recreational riders alike. Some of us ride once a year, some ride 100+ days per year. Many are physicians from the field of MS treatment and research.  Some are current or past board members of the National MS Society. Many on the team have MS (at least 10 riders) and many are those who love and support them.

The one thing we all have in common is that we come together every year in support of Bike MS. We have a terrific time training for the ride, and especially at the event itself, and we do one heck of a job fundraising in support MS research. In 2014, Team Brain raised $60,000, landing the #4 fundraising spot.  We are glad you have joined one of the most successful teams in Bike MS.

We also participate in other rides throughout the state, registering under the name Team Brain. All team members are encouraged to join and ride in the other rides, most of which are not fundraisers. Stay tuned for training rides and get togethers this spring!

Bike MS is a physical challenge for cyclists of every level, but it’s so much more than just a ride. The camaraderie, passion, and memories that come from sharing this experience with our team will stay with us for a lifetime. Bike MS is a weekend-long and LIFE-long opportunity to make a difference in your own life, and in the world. It’s a group effort that transcends personal accomplishment and touches the lives of the thousands of people affected by MS in our community. Join us! It’s more than a ride—it’s Bike MS.

About MS
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
