Swings for Multiple Sclerosis

Parker and I started Swings for MS as a unique way to promote awareness around Multiple Sclerosis while raising money to be donated to the research efforts that will hopefully cure this disease one day. This fundraising effort has a personal element for Parker and I as two important people in our lives have been affected by Multiple Sclerosis. My mother-in-law, Carol M. Abrams, who passed away in June, 2017 after a 25 year battle with MS, as well as our Aunt, Sally Mohr, who is still fighting this disease today. Being enthusiastic golfers, Parker and I set out to walk & carry our clubs as many holes as possible on Tuesday June 26th. Teeing off around 5:15am we completed 5 ½ rounds  (100 holes each), walked over 35 miles and burnt plenty of calories throughout the day. We are very thankful to our family and friends who pledged their support, encouraged our efforts and cheered us along throughout the day. We were particularly touched by an unexpected act of kindness from one of the grounds crew who stopped us on our second round pulled out his wallet and blindly gave us every dollar he had on him as a contribution to the cause. These small acts of kindness along with our generous friends and family make events like this memorable for Parker and I.  We look forward to seeing you all in the coming months and truly appreciate the support you provided.

Our goal—a world free of MS.

We’ve created a fundraising activity to help change the lives of people affected by MS and help fuel progress toward a world free of MS. We’d love your support as we prepare for this and if you want to do more than make a donation, join us!

About MS

When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by MS. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
