Bringing MS Awareness to New Heights
This summer, hikers Garrett, Gabriel, and Daniel are hitting the Appalachian Trail on a thru hike, a 2200-mile endeavor. Along with the majesty of Appalachian views, they aim to see a world with greater awareness of Multiple Sclerosis. These three, inspired by friends and family members who live with MS, organized this hike to raise money and awareness for the National MS Society.
You can learn more about each hiker by checking their bio pages. Just copy and paste the links below into your browser or scroll to the bottom of the page, where each hiker's name hyperlinks to his bio page.
Please support us today.
The monetary goal for this hike is ambitious. However, we know that with support from people like you, we can make real change happen. The money raised will help fund significant progress in MS research as well as services that ensure people affected by MS can live their best lives. This cause is really important to us, so we hope you will help us to end MS forever.
**We ask that any donations be made directly to this activity, rather than any particular individual. Towards the bottom of this page you will see a section with the heading "Our Activity". Please click the Donate button to the right of the line labeled "Gifts directly to the activity". This project is a team effort, and we would like to raise funds in a similar fashion.
When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by MS. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
