2018 Chicago Marathon

Running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike. On race day, runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the finish line in Grant Park.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon hosts thousands of runners who choose to make their Chicago Marathon experience more meaningful by running on behalf of a charity. These runners begin the training season with goals for personal bests in their marathon time as well as in fundraising dollars. With every step you take and every dollar you raise, you can help the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society provide services and programs for individuals living with MS and those close to them.

About MS: When you join the Finish MS Chicago Marathon team, you are changing the world for people affected by MS. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS.

So, lace up your running shoes and support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society! Participate in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon AND Raise awareness and funds for programs and resources for people with MS. It’s easy, it’s fun and you’ll feel good from head to toe!

Registering as a Finish MS participant, you will receive:

Why Run for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society?
When you participate in the Chicago Marathon and raise funds for the National MS Society, you are helping create a world free of multiple sclerosis. Together, we become a powerful force. Together, we will end MS forever.

The Society’s mission: We mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.

What we do to get to a world free of MS:

  • We are moving research forward by relentlessly pursuing prevention, treatment and cure.

  • We are moving to reach out and respond to individuals, families and communities living with multiple sclerosis.

  • We are moving politicians and legislation to champion the needs of people with MS through activism, advocacy and influence.

  • We are moving to mobilize the millions of people who want to do something about MS now.
