Climb to the Top NYC 2019

SM vs. MS

"I was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

For me it began in July last year with visual disturbances, misinterpreted as inner ear issues. This then quickly progressed to tingling and weakness in my legs and hands. A couple of MRI's and doctors appointments later I was diagnosed with MS. For everyone with this incurable disease the journey is different. I find every day I am learning more about my body and what it is capable of. At times I am uncomfortable and feel as though I am not fully in control of my body.

What comes with a neurodegenerative brain disease's is fear. Ironically for me it is what is most crippling. I worry for my way of life. How long will I be able to do what I am doing. So for now I will just simply make the most of my independence and strength.

This is all comforted by the research and studies that are going on to better understand MS and how it can be treated. So please join me to climb to the top of the rock and in turn find a cure for MS. The money raised will not just fund research but also provide services that ensure people affected by MS can live their best lives. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!"

About MS

When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by MS. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
