Climb to the Top NYC 2019

Train to Function

Our goal—a world free of MS.

Thank you for visiting & supporting our team Train to Function. Your support & donation continues to provide much needed funding for research so that MS patients like me can continue to live normal lives and "Climb" to new heights. TRAIN2FUNCTION means every day You have to do what YOU can in order to have a full and meaningful life where you can walk, talk & think clearly.

Our team is small but meaningful.  Here is our story:
Beth was diagnosed with MS on March 18, 2015.  MS does not have a cure. It is a degenerative disease of the myelin covering the brain & can impact neurologica & motor functions.  In 2016, Beth & her husband Mike volunteered at this event.  While they were there Beth noticed very few Orange Shirts (indicating MS patients) participating but many as voluteers.  That day Beth decided she was going to Climb to the top to show herself & other MS patients that living a healthy life is possible.  The next day, Beth asked her trainer Rebecca to help her train and Rebecca agreed and also commited to climbing with her.& climb with her in 2017.   We train 3 times a week to ensure that I keep moving so that I am fully mobile, hence the name Train2Function.

Last year, I climbed to the top with new goals & my new trainer, Leslie.  The Goal was to beat my time from last year and also to raise awareness of MS.  Leslie knew  how to push me to get me to give more even when I think the tank is empty. I was able to cut 3:02 off my time.

This year I will once again be working with my trainer, teammate & friend Leslie so that I can reach new heights.  Leslie motivates me & cheers me on so that I can constantly be the best version of myself.  Walking is not optional. Life is too short to miss out on moments.  We work together to maintain a strong mind and a strong body

 Please support our team today.
We’ve set an ambitious goal because we know that with support from our friends and family we can get there. This is a personal journey for our team since all of the money raised will help fund amazing progress in MS research, as well as programs and services that ensure people affected by MS can live their best lives.

Thank you for your support

About MS

When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by MS. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
