Registering
Sign-up to walk using the "Join Our Team" button on the left. Every walker, including kids, need to register in order to get the zoo wristband. If you or a family member has MS, indicate this at sign-up to receive a complimentary "Living with MS" t-shirt. Also, if you want to walk AND volunteer the website won't let you sign-up for both roles, so choose the "Walker" sign-up option and email Andrew Ritzert via  andrew.ritzert@usfoods.com to get on the volunteer list.

Fundraising
Our US Foods Team Fundraising Goal is $1000.
You can make a donation via buttons on this page or from within your personal fundraising site that you get when you register as a walker or volunteer. Your personal site also has links to share via email or social media. There is no obligation to donate or fundraise. You can walk, volunteer, and enjoy the zoo whether you raise money or not. But please consider you are getting free zoo admission (worth $15-$25), and any donations go to research of a disease that affects millions but currently has no cure.

Volunteering
We have committed to at least 20 US Foods volunteers to staff the registration tables before the event and to help clean-up afterwards. Volunteers can participate in the walk if they choose, and will receive an all-day Zoo wristband. Email Andrew Ritzert via  andrew.ritzert@usfoods.com to ensure your spot on the list or ask any questions.

About MS
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. MS is different for everyone, and that makes it all the more challenging to solve. The first Walk MS event was in 1988, and since then more than $1 billion has been raised for research and programs to improve the lives of people living with MS. Today, there are treatments where there weren't any before, and the dream of ending MS is becoming a reality. But there is still so much to do.

That's why we're walking. We've set an ambitious goal because we know with support from people like you, we will have a great chance at reaching it. The money raised will drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. This cause is important to us, so we hope you can do your part to help end MS forever.

Share Your Story?
If you or a family member has MS and you'd like to share your story and inspire your USF co-workers to participate in the walk and/or donate, please contact Andrew Ritzert in the Tax Dept.

About MS

When you make a donation, you are changing the world for people affected by MS. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Every dollar raised matters to those affected by MS. Thank you for your support.
