What is Walk MS?

Walk MS is a charity walk series that takes place in over 550 locations with more than 330,000 people participating annually. Walk MS brings together the passion and determination of anyone who wants to raise funds and give hope to more than 2.3 million people living with MS worldwide. We’ve been walking since 1988 and to date have raised more than $920 million to drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. When you participate in Walk MS, you help ensure no one ever has to be diagnosed again. Together, we become a powerful force. Together, we will end MS forever.

Start a Team

Every great team starts with a strong team captain.  Once you've registered as a captain, ask your friends, family, or co-workers to join you.  The more teammates you have, the more memorable and fun your walk will be.

Join a Team

You’d be amazed how many people around you have already committed to a Walk MS event. Ask friends and coworkers and chances are you’ll find a team that would love to have you. Next, register online with that team and get ready for a great walk.

Register as an Individual

Anyone can be a part of Walk MS, so make a difference and be a part of creating a world free of MS as an individual walker. You will be surrounded by others who share your passion and our volunteers will make sure you have everything you need for a memorable experience.

Be a Virtual Walker

Maybe you aren’t able to participate the day of Walk MS, but would still like to support the cause. Sign up as a virtual walker so you can share in the experience and fundraise your heart out.

How to raise money:

Start Early

The earlier you start, the more chances you’ll have to explore great fundraising ideas. From the straight ask to the social media blitz, there are many ways to get your fundraising going and find what works for you! 

Give to Your Own Goal

People are more likely to give once they’ve seen your commitment to the cause. Donating to your own goal is an easy way to kick things into action and send the fundraising thermometer on your fundraising page skyward.

Let Your Passion Fuel Your Progress

Know the #1 reason people will give? Because you’ve customized your fundraising page. Take the time to share who you’re walking for, the personal challenge you’ve set for yourself or the really important breakthroughs we’ve achieved in MS research and treatments in the last 20 years. If it matters to you, it will matter to them.

Get Social and Go Big
