I want to hear you ROAR
Because our team name is Walk On The Wild Side and we like to get WILD. Dressing up in animal-themed clothing or costume is encouraged! It will make our team stand out from the crowd and it is FUN!!! Use costume ears, tails, masks, make-up, or even just a shirt that has an animal design on it. Get creative and show up with the pride. :)
Welcome to the team,
My returning members already know, but for the newcomers: my name is Danielle and I have led a team every year since my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006. You could say I am a walking expert now. Please, feel free to ask me any questions in regards to MS, the MS walk event, or walking in general, and I will be happy to answer.
What is MS?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects the brain and spinal cord, resulting in loss of muscle control, vision, balance, and sensation (such as numbness). With MS, the nerves of the brain and spinal cord are damaged by one's own immune system. Multiple sclerosis affects millions of people, including our co-workers, friends, families and loved ones.
What can you do to help?
You can join the team and help raise money towards our team goal of $1,000. However, I understand that not everyone will be able to physically be there on Saturday, May 11th. The good news is that you CAN still join the team as a virtual walker and help from anywhere in the world. Every little bit helps, no donation is too small! If you are unable to donate at this time, I completely understand and I would not want to place you in a bad financial situation, but you CAN share the team info so that others can see this opportunity. Thank you so very much, you have no idea how much it means to me!
